2015 is already 9 days old, so my new year wishes are a bit late, but I’ve been busy editing the photographs from the Fall 2014 shoot so I could finally get the latest collection, Woodpile, up on the website.

I love photoshoot day! Choosing the location, styling the outfits, playing with hair and make-up – it’s like a grown-up dressing-up party. I’ve been very lucky to work with some beautiful and willing models, including professional models, friends of friends and even my sister, but this time I asked my mate, Valda if she would be so kind as to put on a few outfits and have me boss her about in the back yard. She seemed uncomfortable about it first, asking me, “Will I look like an old lady, dressed up in young girl’s clothes?” I had to laugh, “That’s exactly what my sister said when I asked her to model for me!” came my reply. It was the start of a day full of giggles and belly-laughs, and she was in!

The day started out cloudy and quite chilly, so Valda was happy to be wrapped up in my Sugar Maple Wrap. She took such a shine to it, that I didn’t know if I was going to get it back!

As the sun rose in the sky, we warmed up and it was time for an outfit change.

Blue Spruce Pullover in Rowan Chenille looked great with my vintage silk dress and a basket of decorative gourds!

Happy smiling Valda :oD

It was a beautiful day to be out in the garden.

I wouldn’t carry around mini pumpkins in anything less than 100% Cashmere! The colour blend in this Jade Sapphire Cashmere 8 is subtly beautiful and this photo shows off the thumb increases of the Nannyberry Mitts.

One pattern from the latest collection that hasn’t made it onto the website yet is my Two At A Time Toe Up Socks On One Needle. I’m currently teaching a class in how to make them at Yarns in the Farms in Beverly MA. I’ll have a re-tweaked pattern finished soon, along with more photographs and video tutorials to share with you.

For the full Woodpile collection, click on this link and enjoy!

Have a FAB January and I’ll pop in soon to let you know what else is new.

Hi Heather! Love these pictures of Valda in your designs, which are fantastic as always. I especially love the Sugar Maple Wrap. Valda wears them all well! We noticed that Chelsea made a guest appearance in one of the photos! Hope to see you soon!
