Toffee Apple This AoK twist on a traditional waistcoat has densely knit fronts, which contrast nicely with a lacy, lightweight back featuring a flirty ruffle. Toffee Apple would make a great layering piece for cooler climes or wear it on its own – if you dare! The unique construction of this piece means that there is only one tiny seam to sew at the centre back neck. CC (Contrast Colour) – Great Adirondack Yarn Co. Silky Sock (70% Merino Superwash, 20% Silk, 10% Nylon), 100g/3.53oz, 360yds/329m. 1 Skien of Foliage. Or yarn that knits to specified gauge. Needles: 1 pair of US 6/4mm knitting needles. (You will also need a larger size needle if you find it difficult to bind off loosely.) Buttons: 4 ¾”/2cm buttons. Gauge: 18 stitches x 29 rows = 4”/10cm worked in Stockinette Stitch in MC using US 6/4mm knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
